What Is Day Trading? Day trading is a short-term trading strategy where financial instruments such as stocks, options, futures, or exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are bought and sold within the same trading day. The goal is to capitalize on small intraday price movements, exiting all positions before the market closes to avoid the risks associated with overnight volatility. This approach requires a hands-on, active style of trading and is typically executed in fast-paced, highly liquid markets.
Unlike long-term investing, which focuses on fundamental analysis and holding positions for months or years, day trading is driven by short-term trends and technical indicators. Day traders use tools such as candlestick patterns, moving averages, volume signals, and momentum indicators to predict price direction and entry/exit points. Success in this space relies heavily on an in-depth understanding of charting techniques, market behavior, and real-time data interpretation.
To execute trades with speed and precision, day traders rely on advanced trading platforms that offer low-latency execution, customizable charts, and integrated news feeds. Markets like the NASDAQ, NYSE, FTSE, and Hang Seng are popular hunting grounds due to their high liquidity and volatility, two critical factors that create opportunities for quick profits. Traders may focus on individual equities, sectors like biotech or energy, or broader instruments such as S&P 500 index futures or global ETFs.
Ultimately, day trading is not a guessing game. It’s a skill that blends technical strategy, emotional control, and continuous learning. Newcomers must approach it with the mindset of a disciplined professional, focusing not just on potential profits but also on preserving capital and managing risk effectively. As access to global markets becomes easier, more individuals are turning to day trading as a powerful tool to build short-term wealth if done with the right approach.
Why Investors Are Embracing Day Trading
Day trading is no longer reserved for professionals on Wall Street. Thanks to the rise of online trading platforms, improved market access, and low-cost brokerage services, individual investors worldwide are now entering the fast-moving world of day trading. The ability to execute trades in real time, coupled with advanced analytics and algorithmic support, has opened up new avenues for active traders seeking to profit from intraday market movements.
One of the biggest draws of day trading is the potential to generate daily income, even in volatile or sideways markets. By focusing on technical patterns and short-term news catalysts, traders can capture quick profits from price swings in stocks, options, ETFs, and global indices. For individuals looking to supplement their income or build a primary trading business, the accessibility and flexibility of day trading are incredibly appealing.
Another key advantage of day trading is the ability to participate in 24-hour global markets. Whether it's pre-market trading in the U.S., European equity openings, or late-night action in the Asian futures markets, opportunities arise at all hours. Traders now use platforms such as Interactive Brokers and Thinkorswim by TD Ameritrade to gain seamless access to these markets, backed by real-time news and technical charting tools. This global access means that traders can find volatility and volume at almost any time of the day, which is essential for consistent returns.
Moreover, the growing education ecosystem around day trading ranging from online courses and live webinars to trading communities and Discord groups has empowered a new generation of informed retail traders. They are no longer trading blindly; instead, they are leveraging data, practicing risk management, and learning how to protect capital during market whipsaws. With the right strategies and tools, day trading has become a viable, accessible, and attractive form of active investment for many retail and semi-professional investors.
Proven Day Trading Strategies That Actually Work
Day trading requires more than just fast fingers—it demands a disciplined approach backed by proven strategies. Whether you’re trading stocks, ETFs, or options, applying the right techniques can make all the difference between consistent gains and painful losses. Below, we break down some of the most effective day trading strategies that continue to deliver results for traders across global markets.
1. Momentum Trading is one of the most popular strategies for beginners and seasoned traders alike. This approach focuses on capitalizing on news-driven spikes, earnings announcements, or unexpected events that cause sudden surges in price and volume. When a stock like Tesla or Nvidia rallies due to a quarterly earnings beat or a major merger announcement, momentum traders jump in quickly to ride the upward trend. The key to success lies in entering early and setting tight stop-losses to protect profits as volatility increases.
2. Breakout Strategy is Another powerful technique is the, which involves identifying stocks that are breaking above resistance or below support levels with significant volume. These breakouts often signal the start of strong price trends, especially when confirmed by technical indicators like Bollinger Bands or moving averages. Breakout trading works particularly well in volatile environments, where price action tends to be fast and sharp. For maximum success, traders often use charting platforms like TradingView or MetaTrader to visualize entry and exit points.
3. Scalping is a high-frequency strategy that aims to capture multiple small profits throughout the trading session. Scalpers often make dozens—or even hundreds—of trades in a single day, relying on lightning-fast execution and tight bid-ask spreads. This method is best suited for highly liquid assets such as major tech stocks or index ETFs. Low-fee trading platforms and direct market access (DMA) brokers are essential for success, as every basis point counts. Scalping is ideal for traders who thrive on speed and precision in high-volume environments.
4. Reversal Trading takes a contrarian approach by targeting stocks that show signs of exhaustion after significant rallies or sell-offs. Traders look for reversal patterns using tools like Relative Strength Index (RSI), MACD divergences, or specific candlestick formations (like hammers or shooting stars). The idea is to enter trades when momentum begins to shift, often catching sharp rebounds or pullbacks before the broader market reacts. This strategy requires patience and precise timing but can be highly profitable when executed well.
Finally, Options Day Trading has surged in popularity due to its high leverage and low capital requirements. Traders use near-term call or put options to profit from short-term price swings in stocks like Apple, Meta, or Amazon. Because options can move dramatically within minutes, this strategy demands strong risk management and a clear understanding of Greeks (Delta, Theta, Vega). Platforms like Thinkorswim offer advanced analytics tailored for intraday options trading.
Each of these strategies has its unique strengths, but success in day trading ultimately depends on choosing the one that aligns with your risk tolerance, time commitment, and trading style. Whether you’re scalping micro-movements or playing breakouts on global tech giants, consistency, discipline, and a solid plan are the keys to building long-term profitability. Beginner-Friendly Options Trading Strategies That Work
Options trading offers a unique blend of flexibility, leverage, and risk management making it a popular choice among active traders. For beginners, it’s essential to start with straightforward, well-defined strategies that offer limited risk and clear outcomes. Let’s explore three foundational options trades that can help new traders gain confidence and consistency in the markets.
One of the most popular and beginner-friendly strategies is the long call or long put. A long call option gives you the right to buy a stock at a set price before expiration, perfect if you believe the stock is poised for a bullish breakout. Conversely, a long put allows you to profit from downward price moves. Both options offer limited downside risk (only the premium paid) and unlimited upside potential, making them ideal for traders who want directional exposure without committing large amounts of capital. These strategies are especially effective when trading high-volume stocks like Apple (AAPL), Microsoft (MSFT), or SPY.
For those seeking a more conservative approach with defined risk and cost, vertical spreads are a powerful next step. These involve buying one option and simultaneously selling another at a different strike price but with the same expiration date. For example, a bull call spreads profits from a moderate rise in the underlying stock, while a bear put spread works well in falling markets. Vertical spreads reduce the upfront cost and can increase your risk-adjusted return, making them excellent tools for managing volatility and fine-tuning market exposure.
A more advanced yet effective strategy is the iron condor, particularly suited for range-bound market conditions. This strategy involves selling a bull put spread and a bear call spread simultaneously creating a zone of profitability if the stock stays within a specific range. While more complex, the iron condor is widely used during earnings season or periods of low volatility, offering limited risk and a high probability of success when timed correctly. It’s a favorite among seasoned traders looking to profit when markets go sideways.
No matter which options strategy you choose, proper risk management is non-negotiable. Always use stop-loss orders and avoid risking more than 1–2% of your capital on a single trade. Learning the Greeks, understanding implied volatility, and practicing on a paper trading platform are also recommended for beginners.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
While day trading offers exciting opportunities, it also comes with its share of pitfalls especially for beginners. Avoiding these common mistakes can significantly increase your chances of long-term success and profitability.
Overtrading is a trap many new traders fall into, believing that more trades equal more profits. In reality, excessive trading can lead to higher transaction costs, poor decision-making, and mental fatigue. Focus on quality over quantity and wait for high-probability setups rather than forcing trades.
Ignoring trading costs is another major mistake. Even if you’re making small profits, fees like commissions, bid-ask spreads, and slippage can quietly eat away at your returns. It’s crucial to choose a low-cost brokerage platform and understand the total cost of executing each trade. For active traders, these micro-costs can add up quickly.
Letting emotions drive decisions is a recipe for disaster. Fear and greed are powerful forces that can lead to impulsive entries, exits, and revenge trading. The most successful traders follow a rules-based approach, using technical analysis, price action, and well-defined trading plans to stay grounded in logic not emotion.
Skipping risk management is perhaps the most dangerous error. Always use stop-loss orders to cap potential losses, and never risk more than a small percentage of your capital on a single trade. Proper position sizing ensures that one bad trade won’t ruin your entire portfolio.
Finally, trading without education is like flying blind. Relying on social media “tips” or rumors can be costly. Instead, invest in your learning, study technical indicators, learn how to read charts, and use data-driven strategies. Platforms like Investopedia and BabyPips offer free resources to help traders build a strong foundation.
By being aware of these pitfalls and committing to continuous improvement, you’ll be better prepared to navigate the complexities of day trading and avoid the costly mistakes that derail so many beginners.

I was talking and I mentioned that I have my old Game Boy and original Pokemon cartridge. I said, "I think they still work."
I was told, "The internal batteries on the Game Boy cartridges have run out. They're all dead."
"Oh," I said, trying not to show how crestfallen I was. I felt like I was losing nerd cred for not knowing that, although I never kept up with that type of info anyway. I'm here for the fantasy and imaginative aspects of games, and tend not to follow the competitive or technical details.
I tried not to feel anything as I went home. If they were real animals, I reminded myself, I would have had to say goodbye long ago.
But like so many other people, Pokemon was my childhood. It was all I thought about and dreamed about, and the closest thing I could imagine to heartbreak was the knowledge that they weren't real. I spent nearly all my time writing longhand self-insert Pokemon fanfiction--far more than I spent actually playing the game. My Pokemon were with me in my imagination wherever I went. I started playing Pokemon Blue when I was 5, and the last time I had played it was probably when I was 9 or 10. I remembered I had turned it on again one more time after that, not to play it, but to look at my childhood Pokemon.
It was during high school, after a move overseas that completely upended my life, and I was struggling with the crushing blow of being taken away from everything I knew and trying to make sense of anything (least of all adolescence) in another language. All I wanted was to go back to childhood and have everything go back to how it was before.
Seeing my Pokemon, just as I'd left them, had comforted me. I had looked at their stats pages, taken photos of them with my digital camera (that I don't even know if I still have), and then turned it off without doing anything.
That was probably 9 or 10 years after the games came out. It had been a long time since then. I had long since taken the AA batteries out of my Game Boy Color and left it untouched. I didn't even have AA batteries anymore.
It had worked then. But now it had been 27 years... I thought about not trying to turn my cartridge back on. As long as I didn't turn it on, I could believe my Pokemon were still there, the way I remembered them.
On my day off, which happened to be Pokemon Day, I googled and read that some people on forums and Reddit were still able to play their original Pokemon games.
Then... it was possible. I went out to buy toothpaste. At the store, I asked where I could find AA batteries.
It was a big thing for me to be able to go to the store and buy things myself. When I moved at age 13, I felt like something went wrong with growing up. It was difficult to follow what people were saying, and people didn't always understand what I said either. I had been introverted even in English, but now I had enough negative experiences that I became afraid and stopped trying to talk to people altogether.
I threw myself into video games and reliving childhood memories. The internet was where I could communicate in my first language and understand. I lived online and didn't interact with the real world. On the internet I felt like I was understood and could find people who shared my interests the way I did, but in the real world it always felt like I could get hurt if anyone knew me.
I realize now that I could have had a better experience overseas if I'd known how to adapt and socialize, but this was not something I knew even in English, and trying to learn in another language made it ten times harder. I'm sorry now for missing out on interactions that I know I could have had, but I just didn't know how. I wouldn't know how until I learned, and it took me a long time to learn.
I grew up online, in the company of others who had trouble fitting in with the real world, even in their own language. Those experiences shaped me, and the friendships I've made and support I've received online are invaluable to me. The internet gave me a way to live, and through it I learned how to interact with others. But in many ways, for many years, it felt like my life was put on hold and I stopped growing up.
Several years ago I moved back, to not far from where I was born, and I was able to work for the first time. I began to interact with people and feel like I had a place in the real world.
After shutting myself away for so many years, every little step I made out in the world felt terrifying. But every little thing I did on my own made me feel like I was living for the first time.
Even something as little as going to the store and buying a pack of batteries.
I was directed to a shelf at the end of an aisle, and found myself looking at a rack of lithium AA batteries. Did they not sell the old kind anymore?
I walked around to the other side and was relieved to find the familiar black and brown Duracell batteries I'd known from my childhood. I felt more confident about putting in a battery that looked the same as I remembered. The smallest pack they sold was an 8-pack for $12.99. I really didn't need 8 batteries. I didn't have any other devices that used them.
I thought, what if I turn it on and it doesn't work and I'll have wasted $12.99?
I also thought we might already have batteries. I might be able to say, "Mom, do we have any batteries?" and she'd pull out two AAs from a drawer somewhere and I'd save my money.
But somehow I felt like part of what was important about this was being an adult and being able to buy my own batteries.
Yet... what if it just ended up making me sad? Was it better not to know?
I went to the checkout with just the toothpaste and stood hesitating at the edge of the checkout line.
If I didn't get the batteries now, and it turned out we didn't have any batteries, I wouldn't try it. I knew I would just put it off until even more time passed, and then... "Are you in line?" someone asked me.
"No," I said, and I turned around and went back to the shelf.
I bought the batteries.
At home, I took out my original Game Boy Color from the drawer where I left it, the one my dad had surprised me with when I was 5 years old and that I had brought overseas and back.
Tumblr media
I put the batteries in and turned it on without a cartridge first to make sure the batteries were inserted correctly. The Game Boy logo scrolled across the screen and it made the familiar blinging Game Boy startup noise. I turned it off again, satisfied.
I took out my original Pokemon Blue cartridge, momentarily having to remember which way it went in, and slotted it in.
I turned it on, watched the whole Pokemon Blue intro out of nostalgia, and then pressed START.
Tumblr media
My heart leaped for joy.
Tumblr media
MY POKEMON!!!! MY POKEMON ARE ALIVE!!! 🥺🥺🥺
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My original Pokemon, that were with me in 1998 when I was 5-6 years old, are still with me 27 years later. I want to cry!!! I love the old sprites, I'm SO happy to see them again 😭😭😭 the Pokemon look so little and cheerful at the same time, which I love 🥺🥺🥺 I know there are people with many more hours on their games, who have leveled all their Pokemon to 100. But these are my Pokemon who were with me through my childhood, and I spent many more hours making up stories about them than actually playing the game. I'm so happy to see them again 😭😭😭
Tumblr media
All I want is to see my Pokemon. My other Pokemon are in boxes. Now, how do I get to the nearest PC? Where am I?
Tumblr media
Oh... Oh. I have to confess something. When I was a kid, I was scared of the dark cave areas, and whenever I got to them, I stopped playing for a while. (I was stuck at Mt. Moon until I was like, 7.) So I never actually beat the game.
And here I am on Victory Road, with the team of Pokemon I was taking to the Elite Four, without an Escape Rope.
The only way for me to see my other Pokemon is... to finally make it through Victory Road, after 27 years?!

Federal regulators on Tuesday [April 23, 2024] enacted a nationwide ban on new noncompete agreements, which keep millions of Americans — from minimum-wage earners to CEOs — from switching jobs within their industries.
The Federal Trade Commission on Tuesday afternoon voted 3-to-2 to approve the new rule, which will ban noncompetes for all workers when the regulations take effect in 120 days [So, the ban starts in early September, 2024!]. For senior executives, existing noncompetes can remain in force. For all other employees, existing noncompetes are not enforceable.
[That's right: if you're currently under a noncompete agreement, it's completely invalid as of September 2024! You're free!!]
The antitrust and consumer protection agency heard from thousands of people who said they had been harmed by noncompetes, illustrating how the agreements are "robbing people of their economic liberty," FTC Chair Lina Khan said.
The FTC commissioners voted along party lines, with its two Republicans arguing the agency lacked the jurisdiction to enact the rule and that such moves should be made in Congress...
Why it matters
The new rule could impact tens of millions of workers, said Heidi Shierholz, a labor economist and president of the Economic Policy Institute, a left-leaning think tank.
"For nonunion workers, the only leverage they have is their ability to quit their job," Shierholz told CBS MoneyWatch. "Noncompetes don't just stop you from taking a job — they stop you from starting your own business."
Since proposing the new rule, the FTC has received more than 26,000 public comments on the regulations. The final rule adopted "would generally prevent most employers from using noncompete clauses," the FTC said in a statement.
The agency's action comes more than two years after President Biden directed the agency to "curtail the unfair use" of noncompetes, under which employees effectively sign away future work opportunities in their industry as a condition of keeping their current job. The president's executive order urged the FTC to target such labor restrictions and others that improperly constrain employees from seeking work.
"The freedom to change jobs is core to economic liberty and to a competitive, thriving economy," Khan said in a statement making the case for axing noncompetes. "Noncompetes block workers from freely switching jobs, depriving them of higher wages and better working conditions, and depriving businesses of a talent pool that they need to build and expand."
Real-life consequences
In laying out its rationale for banishing noncompetes from the labor landscape, the FTC offered real-life examples of how the agreements can hurt workers.
In one case, a single father earned about $11 an hour as a security guard for a Florida firm, but resigned a few weeks after taking the job when his child care fell through. Months later, he took a job as a security guard at a bank, making nearly $15 an hour. But the bank terminated his employment after receiving a letter from the man's prior employer stating he had signed a two-year noncompete.
In another example, a factory manager at a textile company saw his paycheck dry up after the 2008 financial crisis. A rival textile company offered him a better job and a big raise, but his noncompete blocked him from taking it, according to the FTC. A subsequent legal battle took three years, wiping out his savings.
-via CBS Moneywatch, April 24, 2024
--
Note:
A lot of people think that noncompete agreements are only a white-collar issue, but they absolutely affect blue-collar workers too, as you can see from the security guard anecdote.
In fact, one in six food and service workers are bound by noncompete agreements. That's right - one in six food workers can't leave Burger King to work for Wendy's [hypothetical example], in the name of "trade secrets." (x, x, x)
Noncompete agreements also restrict workers in industries from tech and video games to neighborhood yoga studios. "The White House estimates that tens of millions of workers are subject to noncompete agreements, even in states like California where they're banned." (x, x, x)
The FTC estimates that the ban will lead to "the creation of 8,500 new businesses annually, an average annual pay increase of $524 for workers, lower health care costs, and as many as 29,000 more patents each year for the next decade." (x)
Clearer explanation of noncompete agreements below the cut.
Noncompete agreements can restrict workers from leaving for a better job or starting their own business.
Noncompetes often effectively coerce workers into staying in jobs they want to leave, and even force them to leave a profession or relocate.
Noncompetes can prevent workers from accepting higher-paying jobs, and even curtail the pay of workers not subject to them directly.
Of the more than 26,000 comments received by the FTC, more than 25,000 supported banning noncompetes.

Bart doesn’t know how he got in this situation.
…He’s lying he knows exactly how he got here. It was just a solo patrol without his team or uncle and it was going well! All he did was stop one mugging and two purse thieves and that the end of it he was thinking of what to get for lunch while waiting for his uncle to get out of the JL meeting stoping him from patrol in the first place.
That’s when three large white vans stop around him and men in white suits surround him but before he could do anything (which shouldn’t be possible) a thing is wrapped around around his waist and catch his arms with it and it electrocutes him and due to the pain he passes out.
When he comes too, Bart was met with painfully white walls and floors and the smell of chemicals and as he sits up he brings his hand to check his head for injuries but as he does so he feels something cold and metal on his wrist and he forces his eyes to focus on the two metal cuffs on his wrist.
The cuffs and bulky things made out of pure metal with green and white designs on them and are surprisingly heavy and that’s when Barts mind starts to go a mile a minute and after what Bart can assume is 1-5 minutes later. Bart hears a tapping sound coming from the…lasers? That are being used as a door to the cell and through the bars and saw another person.
He..she? They, They had mid length black hair with strands of white even though they look to be around Barts age and were very pale almost sickly, they were wearing a white sundress and as they looked down the hallway they were in and seemed to be coming unbothered by the situation the both of them were in.
The person must have seen Bart too as they looked over to him and that’s when Bart notices that they had leukocoria in their right eye and just smiled and went back to looking down the hallway.
And with a most likely civilian Bart automatically started to talk about how he was going to get them out and did they know where they are like any hero would do with a civilian in a situation like theirs, and as Bart talked he moved closer to the bars and was about to go through the lasers but he was stoped when they yelled at Bart to stay where he was and that the bars would just knock him out again and that would be no help to the situation.
That stopped Bart and he was about to ask how they knew that and if they are ok but something about about them made him stop.
Bart started to think about how this probably civilian is so calm and like they read Barts thoughts they said that they are just waiting for their husband and he’ll find them soon. And like a magic word.
Loud alarms and the screams of people started that made Bart instantly cover his ears that the noise, look he may not have super hearing but the alarms were loud and sounded like they were right next to his head…maybe he already had a concussion.
After about three minutes of the alarms and screaming, a large black mass with dark green smoke coming out of a large maw of white teeth covered in blood and black claws also covered in blood…and Bart was pretty sure he saw it just yeet one of the people in white who kidnapped him and the person in the white dress.
One of the previously mentioned claws dragged across the sterile white walls leaving behind marks in its path when it reaches a box that in his sight panic and probably concussion mind didn’t notice before was the gray box that made a slight humming noise but when the clawed hand reached where the box was. It started to smash it like it just insulted his mother in three different ways than spat in its face.
And it turns out that the box was the power supply for the laser bars of the cells that held Bart and the person in white in and as soon as the bars fizzled out one of the clawed hands grabbed them out of the cell.
That makes Bart ready to fight this being to the person out of danger but he stops when Bart sees that the person in white is completely calm and…are they comforting the being?
That’s when the being changes from the large black mass to a six foot and short white haired man wearing a black bodysuit with a black cape with the inside of it looks like it was taken from the depths of a unknown universe and a black crown.
After about a minute of the two just checking in on each other the two started to glow at the edges before glowing so bright that Bart had to look away for a hot second.
And when Bart looked back he was met with a four armed being with long white in black hair and had what seemed to be a stone in the middle of their chest and they looked to be hugging themselves with relief on their face.
That’s when Bart stomach decided to make itself known with a loud grumbling sound, the being looked over in mild surprise [Bart had a feeling that he was forgotten] before he could say anything he was picked up by the being and they started to run.
The Justice league all rushed into one of the meeting rooms at the warning that someone was in there without any of their knowledge.
The JL was in a meeting about how they were going to find and rescue Impulse after he had been kidnapped by a group so the flash was not in the best mental state right now and they all were expecting this intruder to demand payment or something of that nature to give back Impulse.
What they were not expecting was Impulse with a milkshake and burger in hand sitting next to a four armed being and they were about to start asking questions before Zatanna yelled out.
“IS THAT THE FUCKING GHOST KING”

•Background•
The day that Danny went into that portal was the worst and best day of his life.
The worst because he was electrocuted and thought he had died that day.
And it was the best because it was the day he met him, Phantom his now husband.
That first Danny thought he had become a Halfa like Vlad had said that they both were [Before Danny proceeded to beat the ever loving shit out of him] but after about a year after the accident Danny had started to have feelings and thoughts not his own.
Like overwhelmed by protectiveness for himself and knowing things from the past that he definitely shouldn’t know and Danny mostly just pushed this to the side as his life was already difficult he didn’t need anymore stress and it wasn’t hurting him..it even felt a little nice like being wrapped in a protective blanket.
But a few months after it had started, Danny had started to black out during fights with the G.I.W/His parents and the other ghost and he would come too back in his room and all bandaged up and laying on his bed.
That’s when Danny went to clockwork to ask what was going on. Clockwork than explained that Danny and Phantom were two different people but due the accident it put most of phantoms powers into Danny’s body as well as speeding up the growth of his proto-core so Danny is essentially a full ghost at this point.
And Danny ask if Clockwork can separate them because Danny may like how it feels when their together he doesn’t want to trap phantom and Clockwork does as he ask and separates them.
But the first thing phantom does with his new freedom is grab Danny check on him and make sure his ok before glaring at Clockwork for separating them, Danny ask him if phantom is ok with them being fused together.
Phantom says that he loves being with Danny the only thing he didn’t like was that he was never able to fully talk to him or hold him like this and now he can protect him better from the Fentons and G.I.W.
But that’s when clockwork interrupts and says that it would be best that the two of them don’t ever go back to that world as with the two separated being able to separate now it would make their eco-signature immediately noticeable to the Fentons technology and makes a visual orb shows Danny and Phantom what would happen if they go back now.
That ends with Danny crying about how could his parents do that to him while he wraps his arms around his torso and Phantom breaking the orb and almost freezing over the entire Ghost Zone.
After calming them down, Danny ask what they are supposed to do now that they can’t go back and Clockwork explains that when the two of them beat Pariah Dark Phantom won the title of Ghost King so they could do that.
And Danny and Phantom like that idea.
-•—••••••••••••••••—•-
•Little Facts•
•Danny and Phantom HATE separating it is very uncomfortable for both of them.
•When a Ghost becomes strong enough their core with become visible to humans but in the from as a gem so it doesn’t break their brain, Think of it like this
Colors we can’t see = Magenta
Ghost Cores = Gem stones
•The reason Danny was so chill was because he knew Phantom was going on the fucking war path to get him back
•A visual orb is something ghost can make to show memories or things of the like
•Phantom is the Ghost King and Danny is the Ghost Queen <3
•Phantom hates clockwork and clockwork likes to mess with Phantom because he can
•The JL are so confused at this point
•The Speedforce is a ghost and has adopted all speeders as her kids and any ghost can tell
•Phantom was a boy in ancient times who died but because of how powerful he is it took a looong time for his proto-core to form and when it did the accident happened
•Danny was adopted by Clockwork, And Clockwork and The Speedforce are siblings so Danny and Bart are cousins…I think Ghost families are were to map out
•Halfas don’t exist, Danny and Phantom were just both confused as all hell but they figured it out so their good but Vlad is just possessing his own corpse and it is Extremely disgusting and disturbing for everyone involved
•The crown changes from wearer to wearer
•The reason Danny was in the G.I.W custody was that they were planning on yeeting another nuke into the ghost zone and He went to go reinforce the area it would hit but the G.I.W set up sensors for any ghost activity and they grabbed him before he could fight back and was only there for about 6 hours before they grabbed Bart who was out for the count for a good 3 hours
•Danny and Phantom actually communicate with each other so no misunderstandings with them! Everyone else on the other hand :)
•When ghost want to get married, they combine cores.
•Danny and Phantom are a lot older than they look, Danny looks 17 while Phantom looks 18

otp throuple, but it's 3 bisexuals and the lesbian who had compet at first. the lesbian previously dated one of the bisexuals cause of trauma bonding or something. he also previously dated the other lady bisexual. and then the other bisexual guy was dating the bisexual lady. and then they broke up too. and the lesbian started dating the lady bisexual. so all the guy bisexuals are now the lady bisexuals exes. and then the bisexual guys get together, before the throuple eventually formed one bisexual at a time. while the lady bisexual is also dating the lesbian too, who is now trauma bound besties with her ex bisexual boyfriend.

Sorry guys, wafer on the brain, it's terminal u.u
Anyway, I'll elaborate on this in the tags bc omg I'm going to yap your metaphorical ear off.
#SO during the whole “affogato almost takes over the citadel situation” dark cacao cookie [whom i will refer to as DC for my health]#dc basically took all the cookies that were hunting/fishing/patrolling the surrounding lands for food and stuff to make them work#on fortifying the wall#therefore two things happened 1] the cookies who still were hunting for food literally couldn't keep up with the apatites of cookies who#were working super fucking hard on the wall and 2] all the farming imports from the villages near by stopped almost entirely because#it was too dangerous to import their goods or get anything from the citadel [like tools] so they had to keep what they could for themselves#so effectively a famine was starting#and so cookies started eating things they probably shouldn't like deer crackers and wolf treats#looking at you Caramel and crunchy chip#caramel just never fully kicked the habit because it was what she had alot of and she would trade her rations for them with the villages#crunchy chip just allways did that tho. he's just like that#Dc on the other hand grew up in those lands before there was real communication between villages or a citadel to depend on for rations#so famine was common and rough. eatting bark and leaves were common place in his home so while he does eat jellys he never kicked the#craving for tree bark#on the plus side hes got a crazy strong stomach and can eat just about anything#whereas chocolate wafer is from a small village near the hollyberry kingdom so they have allways had an abundance of fruits and juice to#snack on. they managed to convince dc to add dried berrys to their imported goods list and now they are considerd a sweet treat#idk how to put this in kinda organically so ill just say the dc kingdom is a place that depends on imported goods heavily#things like precious metals and food usually comes from the hollyberry kingdom [and gc before her isolation]#in return dc kingdom provides military support and has the best medicine in all of earthbread. All the best doctors studied there#anywho im dome rambling sorry for whoever gets jumpscared thinking this was gunna be short#also if you notice my art suddenly being colored and stuff its because im trying to open coms soon! i want to nail my coloring before then!#^^ if you read all that. wow! have a candy!🍬#dreamy talks#[🧋]#chocolate wafer cookie

Smoke looking solemn and being entirely engulfed by the static enormity of the juke (which becomes an embodiement of the church as the night progresses, offering community and protection from outside harm), whereas Stack smiles coyly, playing in the face of the oppressor and framed by the gentle white of the open sky. It really subverts the expectations of who lives and dies by their beliefs and who becomes a vampire.
Tumblr media
After you see the movie you understand the enormous tragedy that permeates the narrative, even if the music and framing speak contrarily. They're both standing in front of and before what eventually kills them. This is an open shot in a hopeful moment that is undermined by the intentional suffocation of the protagonists, who can't escape their fate of being either victims of the vampires, the klan, their scheming. or the jim crow and sharecropping lifestyle if they are to survive, regardless. Is there more freedom in death if you can't control how you live? Smoke framed by the juke and Stack standing before the sun, both framed by what does (and eventually will) kill them, but also what they choose to live by.

blessed be (lorscher bienensegen) | telling the bees (wiþ ymbe)
"Bees" [remixed, abridged], Claudia Emerson // "Letter to Someone Living Fifty Years from Now" [remixed. abridged], Matthew Olzmann // "Letter to my Great, Great Grandchild" [remixed, abridged], J.P. Grasser | Len Redkole, Nina Weiss, Brian Babineau, Christian Peterson, Mitchell Leff, Dave Isaac, Megan DeRuchie
#liv in the replies#if i were insane there would be an appendix to this called telling the bees however i finished this at 3am yesterday its nearly midnight &#my cutoff is when my ahl asg stream cuts. GOD by now i should know when i save a poem like hmm. not applicable but god it'd be perfect#THAT'S A CURSE. DON'T PUT IT IN THE DOCUMENT. DON'T SAVE IT. FORGET YOU READ IT. IT'S A CURSE!! <- things i should've told myself when i#went to read bees was already like 👀 &then the first line was FUCKING CLAUDE!!!!! anyway. sorry also this is like. insanely long but ALSO#regarding mf claude. the first picture is a leftover from the claude edit i made years ago so that feels GREAT and BEAUTIFUL & also for me#as ever y'all will be getting a full breakdown. starting with what i regularly have a breakdown about every time i see it which is joelle's#james 1:12 tattoo which if u use the king james version (gay) is blessed is he who perseveres under trial because having stood the test he#will receive the crown of life the lord has promised to those who love him. which i always go blessed is he who perseveres // for those who#love him. and that's joel. ignoring him getting it then getting sent down on his birthday IGNORING IT. also we know the frosty/maple leafs#hahaha fuck the flyers lore right? good. that's morgan and his dad also bc i love a baby picture & it was perfect. also the dave isaac pic#next was in an article talking about morgan 'stung' by draft camp. shut UP. i have an alt for tells him with claude and ALSO hate the#elephant w/phil bc myesie u fuckin leaf-eater (giraffe) but i love the composition of that jake shot & had to use it (it was also almost#tells him) with thylacine jakey frog nolan also raff the extinct whale bc i needed him here. if my editing on incapable of joy is bad no on#tell me i did some SHENANIGANS to put morgan in there & color-pick/alter his jersey. new skill. i think euphoria is one of my favorite for#the sake of pride night but ALSO that polaroid kills me very time &they're so stoners contemplate the universe but ALSO i love transcendenc#so that whole three photo string i think is my favorite. and i was in looking at these like listen okay it's okay there are only so many#photos in the world. you can repeat from others you've seen before. except ALSO there's so many of these freaks together do you separate#and every time i was like there can't be more there was more. don't ask the number of back-ups for the sweetest blossom/pinch/ruffle sets#okay also the ready to be stung one was a surprise favorite fit for me because i love that line but wasn't sure how to convey it? so it's o#i think with how morgan's face is and the almost of it all. yes joel hardest trier is in there purely for me i do have an alt but. how coul#u doubt him. insert sasha's tweet abt how much joel loves philly but all his quotes have been abt being excited for morgan to have a fresh#start. AND NOT EVEN TWO MINUTES IN CALGARY AND YOU'RE STILL INSEPARABLE god i literally googled frost farabee calgary to find the last#blessed [because. heard but not seen you know of everyone traded but you went together. not seen. (which ties into the terrible appendix)]#and IT DIDN'T EVEN TAKE ME TWO MINUTES TO FIND THAT!!! WHAT DO YOU MEANNN anyway. sorry again it's so long & also i will be vanishing a wee#& a half after posting [redacted] is kicking my ass & im doing [redacted fun things WAIT ACTUALLY U CAN KNOW ONE i'm seeing hippo campus]#morgan frost#joel farabee#philadelphia flyers#calgary flames

The thing is that reddit-contrarian-styled takes on the Star Wars cosmology like "Grey Jedi" and Traya's whole "Force Delendia Est" shebang simultaneously carry big "missing the point" energy and are also ideas that you're going to arrive at within fifteen seconds of the story inviting you to understand it as a lived-in world instead of an archetype powered fairytale romp.
